Medicare Disclaimer

Last updated October 19, 2026

The Short Version

MedigapWise is a private website owned by a licensed insurance agency. We are not Medicare, we are not the government, and we may not show every plan available where you live.

This disclaimer applies to every page on MedigapWise.com. Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Editorial Standards.

Not Affiliated With the Government

MedigapWise is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal Medicare program, the Social Security Administration, or any state agency. Any mention of Medicare on this site refers to the public program, not to us.

Plan Availability

Please note: We do not offer every plan or every insurance company available in your area. For information on all of your options, contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY 1-877-486-2048), or your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP).

Medigap plans, insurance companies, and prices vary by state and ZIP code. A plan described on this site may not be sold where you live.

Plan Renewal and Enrollment

✔

You must be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B to buy a Medigap plan, and you must keep paying your Part B premium.

✔

Medigap policies sold today are guaranteed renewable as long as you pay your premium, though premiums can change.

✔

Medicare Part D plans renew under yearly contracts with Medicare, so their premiums, drug lists, and costs can change each year.

Outside your Medigap Open Enrollment Period, insurance companies in most states can ask health questions and may decline your application.

How We Are Paid

Our compensation

✔MedigapWise is owned by a licensed insurance agency.

✔When you enroll through our licensed insurance agents, the insurance company pays us a commission.

What it costs you

✔Nothing extra. Your premium is the same whether you enroll through us or directly with the company.

See our Advertising Disclosure for more detail.

Editorial Independence

Insurance companies do not write, review, or approve the content on MedigapWise. Being mentioned on a page is not an endorsement, and the order companies appear in is not a ranking.

Accuracy of Plan Information

We update yearly figures when CMS and insurance companies publish them, but rules and prices can change without notice. We cannot guarantee that every figure is current on the day you read it. Always confirm details with the insurance company or a licensed insurance agent before you enroll.

Not Professional Advice

Content on this site is general information. It is not medical, legal, tax, or financial advice. Reading MedigapWise does not create an agent-client relationship. That begins only when you speak with one of our licensed insurance agents about your own situation.

Insurance company names and product names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them. Links to other websites are provided for convenience, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
